Composition :
Ikadryl DMP is pleasant tasting non-narcotic, antihistamin cought suppresant syrup :
Composition :
Each teaspoonful (5 ml) contains :
Diphenhydramin Hydrochloride ..................... . 5 mg
Dextrometorphan Hydrobromide ..................... 7.5 mg
Phenylephrine Hydrochloride .......................... 5 mg
Ammonium Chloride ....................................... 62.5 mg
Sodium Citrate ................................................. 25 mg
Indication :
Ikadryl DMP cough syrup is indicated as an antitusive in the management of cough duo to colds or allergy and the symptoms of bronchitis. It provides a wide range of the therapeutic action against the cough complex without risking addiction or producing undue central depression.
Precaution :
Patients should be warned about anganging in activities requiring mental alertnes such as driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery. Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride has an atropine-like action and should be used with caution when prescribing this drug.
Dosage :
Adults : 2 teaspoonfuls every 4 to 6 hours
Children : 2 to 4 years : 1/2 teaspoonful every 6 hours
4 - 12 years : 1 - 2 teaspoonful every 6 hours or as prescribed by the physician
