Composition :
Zoloral Tablet : Each tablet contains Ketoconazole 200 mg
Indications :
Zoloral tablet is indicated for the effective treatment of :
A. Chronic mucocutaneus candidiasis, which has not responded to nystatin or other antifungal agents, such as :
- Vaginal candidiasis
- Oral thrust
- Gastrointestinal candidiasis
B. Systemic fungal infections, such as :
- Candidiasis
- Coccidioidomycosis
- Histoplasmosis etc.
Zoloral Cream is indicated for the topical treatment of dermatophyte infection of the skin, such as tinea cruris, tinea manus and tinea pedis caused by Trichophyton rubrum. It is also indicated for the treatment of candidiasis of the skin and tinea (pityriasis) versicolor.
Dosage :
- Adults : The recommended dose is a single daily administration of one tablet (200 mg). For vaginal candidiasis, the dose is two tablets (400 mg) once daily for a period of 5 days. Inadequate periods of treatment may yield poor response and lead to early recurrence of clinical symptoms.
- Children : 2 years of age, a single daily dose of 5 mg/kg has been used.
Adverse reactions :
Adverse reactions seldom occur. The following adverse reactions have been report a nausea and/or vomiting, abdominal pain, and pruritus.
