Composition :
Ikamoxyl capsules : Each capsule contains Amoxicillin trihydrate equivalent to amoxicillin 500 mg.
Indications :
- Upper and lower respiratory tract infections.
- Acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, pneumonia, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis, laryngitis, otitis media.
- Genitourinary infections.
- Cystitis, pyelonephritis, urethritis and gonorrhea.
- Skin and soft tissue infections.
- Pyoderma, cellulitis, carbuncles, furuncles and wound infections.
Dosage :
Adults : 250 mg – 500 mg, three times a day.
Children : 2 to 10 years : 125 mg, three times a day.
Up to 2 years : 62,5 – 125 mg, three times a day.
For severe infections the dosage may be safely increased.
Adverse Reactions :
Side effects due to Ikamoxyl are infrequent and mild in nature. Skin rash and gastrointestinal disturbances have been observed occasionally.
