PRIMODIUM

Composition :
Primodium Tablet; each contains Loperamide HCl 2.0 mg.
Indications :
PRIMODIUM is indicated for the control and symptomatic relief of acute and chronic diarrhea.
Dosage :
The dosage should be adjusted depending on bodyweight. ACUTE DIARRHEA
Tablet : recommended initial dosage for adults; 2 tablets (4 mg). Followed by 2 mg after each unformed stool until diarrhea is controlled.
Daily dosage should not exceed 16 mg for adults.
CRONIC DIARRHEA
Tablet : recommended initial dosage for adults; 2 tablets (4 mg).
Maintenance dose : adults 1 – 6 tablets daily.
Adverse reactions :
Side effects are seldom encountered. The following has been reported occasionally; nausea, abdominal cramps, dizziness, rash and dry mouth.
