Composition :
Each 5 ml suspension contains :
Sucralfate …………………………..………………… 500 mg
Indications :
ULSICRAL Suspension is indicated in the short-term (up to 8 weeks) treatment of duodenal ulcer.
Posology:
The recommended adult dosage is 2 teaspoonfuls (10 ml) four times per day, on an empty stomach (1 hour before meals and bedtime)
Treatment should be continued for 4 to 8 week unless healing has been demonstrated by x-ray or endoscopic examination.
Contraindications :
There are no known contraindications to the use of sucralfate.
Drug Interactions :
ULSICRAL administration may reduce the extent of absorption (biovailability) of the following drugs: cimetidine, fluoroquinolone antibiotics (ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin), digoxin, ketoconazole, phenytoin, ranitidine, tetracycline, quindine, I-thyroxine and theophyline, so that these medication should be given 2 hours before the administrations of ULSICRAL.
